These guys all went to school with me, and Ali the bassist is a good mate of mine. They’ve been gigging a lot recently around London, but this was the first one I went to. I’d heard their music on myspace but live they were awesome. It wasn’t the best venue they played in, but they still sounded great and the crowd clearly enjoyed it. Because of the crab lighting and general dinginess of the place I went for the more traditional black-and-white band-in-a-hole look.
